Southerness Lighthouse at Sunset

Southerness Lighthouse at Sunset

Southerness Lighthouse and the view across the Solway Firth, coloured nicely by the setting sun on a cold winter's day. The lighthouse which was originally constructed in 1749 stands 51 feet high at the village of Southerness on the Solway coast in Dumfries and Galloway Southwest Scotland, no longer in use but remains as a striking landmark. The Wind farm constructed in the Solway is just visible on the horizon.
