Stac Pollaidh at Sunrise
The unmistakable shape of Stac Pollaidh ( Stac Polly ) in the Assynt region of the Northwest Highlands of Scotland. Pictured just as the sun was beginning to rise behind it and the neighbouring peak of Cul Beag. The clouds at differing heights catching varying amounts of colour from the suns rays.
I have isolated two peaks in this shot but from the location it was taken from at Achnahaird bay you can see several of the Assynt and Coigach peaks.
