Suilven a Mountain of Assynt
I just love the mountains that are to be found in the Assynt region of Sutherland in the Northwest Highlands of Scotland.
Suilven as pictured above and below is my favourite, no matter the time of year or from where it is photographed, it always pleases me when I catch my first glimpse of it either by foot or by car on my travels.
I especially like to see it with its winter coat on as pictured above but again it also looks appealing in the height of summer. There is nothing quite as enjoyable as watching a glorious Sutherland sunset with the silhouette of Suilven in the frame.

I completely agree with all your comments on Suilven and how it looks so different from different angles and even different seasons. I have images hanging on walls here in our house in South Wales and on web sites and my social media. I wish I was up there more often but love the excitement of seeing it as you turn the corner near Elphin and see it for the first time in the many months you are away.
Thank you for all the regular images we see
